MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Bibb County grand jury has re-indicted four men, adding additional charges in the death of a deputy who was killed while serving a no-knock warrant.
The new indictment includes additional drug and firearms charges.
Damon Antwon Jolly and Antron Dewayne Fair face the death penalty in the March 23, 2006, death of Joseph Whitehead. Thomas Porter and Hassan Shirell Harclerode are also charged in the case because of their alleged participation in drug activity.
Bibb County Assistant District Attorney Kim Schwartz says the new charges aren't expected to delay Jolly's trial, which is scheduled to begin in Savannah on Jan. 12, 2009.
Jolly's attorneys requested the case be tried outside Bibb County because of pretrial publicity.
