Ga. Man Charged With Killing Ex-girlfriend

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a man accused of killing his estranged girlfriend in front of her 2-year-old daughter.

Richmond County sheriff's Lt. Scott Peebles said 34-year-old Sirlinda Vernesa Price died from multiple gunshot wounds at her Augusta home early Sunday morning. Peebles says Price was at home with her new boyfriend when 42-year-old Earl Demetrius Dinkins broke down her door and opened fire.

Police believe Dinkins was upset about Price's new relationship with 38-year-old Melroy Stephen Browman.

The 2-year-old girl is the daughter of Price and Dinkins. She was not injured in the attack.

Peebles says Browman drove himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound. He is in stable condition.
