Driver of Stolen Car Crashes Into Daycare Bus

ATLANTA (AP) - Three men have been arrested after the stolen car they were in crashed into a daycare bus at an intersection.

Atlanta Police Department Officer Eric Schwartz says the bus driver and the six children on the bus were taken to area hospitals for observation after the accident Tuesday morning. He said their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Schwartz says a plainclothes officer noticed the three men traveling in a car that was stolen during a carjacking at gunpoint on Aug. 11. The officer alerted other officers in marked cars.

Shortly after uniformed officers started to follow the car, the driver of the stolen car started to speed away and ran into the bus. The three were arrested and taken to hospitals to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Schwartz did not identify the three men.
