If you are interested in poultry farming here is an opportunity to learn more.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Auburn University are holding a backyard poultry workshop.
It will be on July 26 at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center.
It all gets started that night at six and should wrap up by eight.
"Backyard poultry is of interest all around the wiregrass right now. Some people already have chickens and they want to know more about them. Some people are interested in getting chickens. It could be for meat production or egg production. So this is kind of a program for them so they can learn all about them,” said Doug Summerford, 4H Regional Extension Agent.
There is no charge, but seating is limited. You can call the extension center to reserve a place, 334-693-2010.
