Cotton Futures Closes 1 Dollar Lower than Expected

NEW YORK (AP) - Cotton futures No. 2 closed $1.00 a bale lower
to $4.00 higher Thursday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot
cotton advanced 57 points to 76.62 cents a pound Thursday for the
seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
