The long hours in the field are even longer this year.
"With the long harvest we've had already this season, come longer days. The farmer gets stressed out because he's already stressed about his crops still in the ground,” said Jimmy Jones, Jr., Henry Co. Extension Coordinator.
That's putting some farmer's in more danger.
“The days get longer and the conditions are exactly perfect this year, so there is a lot more stress," said Jones.
Some of the simplest tasks become disasters.
"We need to take a little time to take care of those little things like making sure we have something to eat to keep us going. It's not to slow down that we don't get the job done, but we do need to pay attention to getting rest, taking breaks, things that will help us get our job done by rejuvenating ourselves," said Jones.
