NEW YORK (AP) - Cotton futures No. 2 closed $2.85 a bale lower to $2.95 higher Thursday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot
cotton advanced 21 points to 80.64 cents a pound Thursday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
