Walton County residents who have experienced personal property damage during this month’s flood are asked to report it to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Emergency Management.

The office is compiling statistics to report to the State of Florida and FEMA. Damage to your property can be reported by calling the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at (850)892-8065 and asking for Al Ford, Emergency Management Coordinator.

Residents who feel they may qualify for the FEMA Individual Assistance Program are encouraged to click on the link for assistance tools at the bottom of this article.

Emergency Management also wants to encourage business owners who have incurred losses due to the July 2013 Flooding in Northwest Florida to complete a Business Damage Assessment Survey Form which can be accessed through the link at the bottom of this article.

The results of the survey will be beneficial in helping to determine the full economic impact of the flooding and in assisting the state to acquire additional resources for affected businesses and communities.
