Vice President Joe Biden was in Tallahassee Monday, pushing lawmakers to keep college tuition under control.
Biden supported the Obama administration's new plan to make college more affordable in front of students at Florida State University.
The plan's focus is to boost federal aid to campuses that can prove they're keeping tuition increases to a minimum.
"We cannot go half a generation of having 10, 12, 15 million fewer people getting out of college than are today," the Vice President said. "We can't afford that."
In the past year, tuition has gone up by 15 percent at Florida's public universities.
The administration has yet to say where the money would come from, and Congress would have to approve it.
