Update on Walton County Roads

A number of Walton County roads are still damaged from previous rains. Below is a list of roads that that deputy’s have confirmed damages on.

South Walton damaged roads, Deputy Confirmed.

1.) Walton Magnolia Lane is still closed. Signs have been placed. Water is approx. 6” deep on the road.

North Walton damaged roads, Deputy confirmed.

1.) 800 Co. Highway 183B at cemetery- westbound side of road is undermined and an approximate 3’X6’ foot sink hole on center line and 5 on the sides of the road. Barricades on all sides.

Freeport damaged roads, Deputy confirmed.

1.) Big Cedar Rd – Standing water in two locations and worst location is approx. ¾ of a mile down and parking lots clear, but the boat ramp is still flooded.
2.) Dead River Rd- Water is still over the road two miles from State Highway 81 making it impassable past that point. The rest of the road is fine.
