Daniel Loy Byrd (left) and Samual Mock (right) face child pornography charges from two separate incidents.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Northwest Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force executed two separate search warrants at homes in Okaloosa County, leading to two unrelated arrests.
71-year old Daniel Loy Byrd of Powell Drive in Niceville is charged with possession of child pornography following an investigation that began in January 2013.
In a separate case, 26-year old Samual Mock of Tommy Lane in Mary Esther is also charged with possession of child pornography.
Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, who are members of ICAC, assisted with the search warrants.
The ICAC Task Force was created to help Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative responses to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems, or computer technology to sexually exploit children. The Program is funded by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
