Marianna – State Road (S.R.) 71 traffic will shift to the southbound lanes between Magnolia Road and Malloy Plaza Road in Marianna, Friday, June 13.

The southbound lanes will be transitioned to handle two-way traffic (north and southbound). Access to businesses and side streets will remain open. Motorists may encounter minor traffic delays.

The work is part of an ongoing $8.5 million project to resurface S.R. 71 between the Calhoun County line and Magnolia Road. Major work includes concrete reconstruction between Malloy Plaza and the TA Truck Stop. Construction is slated for completion in fall 2014.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling through the construction area and to use caution when driving in work zones.
