A crash caught on camera that even surprised officers, until they learned the driver was texting.
Fort Myers police say 23-year-old Michael woody admitted he was texting behind the wheel when officers caught him driving erratically from veronica Shoemaker Boulevard onto Martin Luther King, then crashing into a bus stop sign and tree.
The car flipped over, and woody climbed out to safety.
The crash happened just after one a.m. on Saturday, January 4.
The driver wasn't hurt, but he was cited for careless driving and texting while driving.
