Tax Free Weekend Means New Wardrobe for Students and More Money for Parents

GRACEVILLE, FL -- This weekend is the annual sales tax free holiday. Items like clothings, footwear and accessories costing less than $75 are tax exempt.

Retail workers said they are prepared for the hustle and bustle this weekend always brings in department stores. They said they cannot blame people for waiting to do their back to school shopping until now.

"I do know a lot of parents that likes to wait until the tax free weekend comes," Vanity Fair Saleswoman Felisa Pittman said. "When they do come, they always shop the whole weekend, and at the end they say what they saved and it saves a whole lot."

School items under $15 and personal computers costing $750 or less are also tax free. The weekend's deals start Friday at 12:01 a.m. and end Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
