South Fla. drivers have soggy commute ahead

South Florida drivers can look forward to a soggy commute thanks to early-morning thunderstorms.

And officials at the National Weather Service in Miami say it doesn't look like the ride home Friday afternoon will be much better. A flood watch has been issued for all of South Florida through midnight.

The culprit is a low-pressure system that's bringing tropical moisture across South Florida. Officials say 2 to 4 inches of rain could fall in some areas.

Friday also marks the first day of the 2012 hurricane season.
