What U.S. Capitol Police are calling a "credible threat" has led to increased protection for Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio. Rubio's name has been mentioned as a possible running mate for GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney who is expected to be the party's candidate.

Police cars were seen around Rubio's West Miami residence Wednesday. The FBI told CBS News it is aware of the threat...and West Miami police confirm that Capitol Police vetted the threat and determined it to be credible.

The Capitol Police would not discuss the nature of the threat. Rubio's office referred all questions to the Capitol Police.
