School Bus Crashes into Pole in Central Fla

CASSELBERRY, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say six elementary school students on board a central Florida school bus are fine after it crashed into a power pole, knocking out electricity to two subdivisions.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 66-year-old bus driver Jack Timmel ran a red light Tuesday morning and hit a car that was attempting to make a left turn.

The bus then crashed into the power pole and concrete wall.

The students attend nearby Red Bug Lake Elementary School in Casselberry.

No one involved in the crash was injured. Troopers gave Timmel a ticket for running a red light.
