BONIFAY, FL -- Officials say some parts of Holmes County saw between fifteen and twenty inches of rain over the past two weeks.
Road crews have been working long hours in order to fix the damage as quickly as possible.
Crews and officials say they rely on phone calls from the public in order to know where help is needed.
Holmes County Commissioner Bill Parish said the rain has affected almost all parts of the county.
"Holmes county's got better than 600 miles of dirt road in the county, pretty much every mile of that has experienced the rain," Parish said. "Some places are far worse than others. but our crews have worked diligently I would say to try and get those roads rectified."
Commissioners are in the process of applying for FEMA funding in order to offset the road repair costs.
