DAUPHIN, Pa. (AP) -- Pennsylvania State Police say a 28-year-old man faces kidnapping and other charges after a bizarre series of crashes, and that an OnStar security system in a stolen pickup truck helped them find him.
State police said Friday that Matthew Malory of Orlando, Fla., was driving a pickup near Dauphin, north of Harrisburg, on Thursday afternoon when he struck two vehicles but kept going until his truck became disabled.
Police say he then tried to get into a passing tractor-trailer, doing some damage when he jumped on it He's accused of commandeering another pickup truck, forcing the driver out, and then heading west on the turnpike.
Police say OnStar helped them locate him, and he later stole and wrecked another car.
Police say he was being treated for injuries.
