Misty Renee Medrano, 27, of Fort Walton, was identified as the woman found in the Rocky Bayou Bay last weekend, according to a press release from the Okaloosa County Sheriff.
Medrano’s body was found in the bay on Sunday, April 14 around 7 a.m. The press release further explained that a light colored pick-up truck was found near the end the end of 11th Street in Niceville the evening of Saturday, April 13; the same area where Medrano’s body was found.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the assistance of anyone who may have been in the area of the Rocky Bayou between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The department is also for help in identifying the drive of the light-colored truck.
