Okaloosa Co. Sheriff's Office Seeks Whataburger Robbery Suspect

DESTIN, FL - One of the newest crimes featured on the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office “Take a Look, Catch a Crook” web page involves the robbery of the Whataburger on Eglin Parkway by a man who told the employee he would shoot people if the worker spoke out.

The robber came into the Whataburger on 190 Eglin Parkway around 4:25 a.m. December 23rd. He went up to the counter and made his threat, then reached into the cash register and removed cash.
The employee says he did not see a weapon but believed the man had one.

The suspect is described as a heavy set black male, approximately six feet tall and weighing more than 250 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt with camouflage cargo shorts.
