Morrison Springs remains closed after testing samples exceeded standards.
Morrison Springs has been closed since the weekend, when it was found that bacteria levels were extremely high and unsafe to swim in.
The decision to close the swimming area came after conferring with the Health Department and Sheriff Adkinson.
Today, Captain Audie Rowell of the Walton County Sheriff's Office stated that after getting samples, swimming is still prohibited.
"We just received yesterday’s sample results. They still exceed standards at TNTC (Too Numerous To Count). We will try again on Monday," said Rowell in an email.
This means swimming at Morrison Springs is still prohibited until further notice, however the park remains open.
