The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public information meeting concerning proposed improvements to State Road (S.R.) 30A (15th Street/U.S. 98) and S.R. 77 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard). The meeting will be held Thursday, August 22 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Glenwood Community Center, 722 East 9th Court, Panama City.
Proposed improvements to S.R. 30A (15th Street/U.S. 98) from west of Jenks Avenue to S.R. 389 (East Avenue) include resurfacing the existing roadway, minor intersection improvements, drainage improvements, sidewalk and pedestrian signals, and other minor safety upgrades. The department plans to resurface S.R. 77 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) from S.R. 30 (U.S. 98B) to S.R. 75 (U.S. 231). Minor drainage improvements, new signs, pavement markings, and signalization are also included in this project. All proposed construction will take place within existing FDOT right-of-way. FDOT is scheduled to begin construction fall 2014.

Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. There will be no formal presentation, however, representatives from FDOT will be available to answer questions and explain the proposed improvements.
