Washington County Officials have declared a state of emergency.

Dozens of the county's roads are under water, as are resident's homes.

The flash flooding began this morning and already, families are choosing to evacuate their homes.

However, for families like the Laminack's, they have no choice.

"We've lost everything. We've been dealing with the massive flood that has come with all this rain and it has just wiped everything out. We have nothing left. Nothing," said Kelly Laminack of Dawkin Street in Vernon, Fl.

The Red Cross has set up a shelter at Vernon High School.
