TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Sixty-two counties are opening polls
for early voting in the Republican presidential primary.
Polls opened Saturday, allowing Florida voters can cast ballots
ahead of the Jan. 31 primary. The early voting begins on the same
day South Carolina holds its GOP primary.
Five counties -- Hillsborough, Hardy, Hendry, Monroe and Collier
-- opened early voting stations on Monday. That's because a new law
that shortens the number of days early voting can be held doesn't
apply to them.
In the 62 counties that begin voting Saturday, polls will be open for eight days. It will close three days before the election.
