Three days after President Barack Obama won the national election, Florida's election officials on Friday continued to verify results.
As of Friday afternoon, Obama led by 60,767 votes over his GOP challenger Mitt Romney, or 0.72 percent of the total.
Counties have a Saturday deadline to submit unofficial results to the secretary of state.
State law mandates an automatic machine recount of all ballots if the margin between the top two candidates is less than one-half of one percent -- unless the losing candidate asked in writing that it not be conducted.
Romney's campaign staff did not return calls for comment Friday.
Obama already has been declared the overall winner of the presidential election, based on results in the rest of the country.
