A flash flood watch has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for Southeast Alabama, portions of the Florida panhandle and South Georgia.
According to the NWS, saturated soil, damaged road systems and ongoing flooding has made the area susceptible to flash flooding.
The warning went into effect on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 8 a.m. and will remain until Wednesday morning. Rainfall totals of an inch are expected with scattered amounts as high as four to six inches.
