SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- A Florida man has been accused of trying to bribe a sheriff's deputy with gift cards in Georgia's Camden County.
Felix Barrera of Miami was stopped Wednesday by a deputy for a traffic violation on Interstate 95.
WTOC-TV reports that the deputy got permission to search the vehicle. Police said that Barrera had what was suspected to be a fake identification card, more than 50 fake Walmart gift cards, a laptop computer and a credit card reader.
Police said Barrera offered the cards to the officers if they let him go.
A phone listing for Barrera could not be found. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.
