DELAND, Fla. (AP) -- A 2-year-old boy is recovering after police say he accidentally shot himself in the finger with his father's gun.
DeLand police said the boy was at the hospital with his dad at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital when police arrived.
Police spokesman Sgt. Omar McKnight said the hospital notified police after Friday's shooting.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://lb.vg/0g2J4 ) reports the boy is expected to survive but will be kept overnight for observation.
