Chipley- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public information meeting, Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Bay County Extension Office (former Cedar Grove Town Hall), 2728 East 14th Street, Panama City to update the public and receive input on proposed improvements to State Road (S.R.) 389 (East Avenue) from S.R. 30 (U.S. 98B) to S.R. 75 (U.S. 231). The meeting will take place from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. CDT and will be held in an open house format.

Currently, FDOT plans to resurface the three-mile long corridor and perform minor drainage improvements. Construction is currently funded in spring 2014.

The public is asked to attend the meeting and provide feedback to the department. Maps, drawings and other information will be on display. FDOT representatives will be available to explain proposed improvements and answer questions.

There will no formal presentation or public testimony period.
