Chipley - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public information meeting concerning proposed improvements to State Road (S.R.) 10 (U.S.) 90 from west of the CSX railroad to the Chipola River Bridge in Jackson County.

The meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Marianna City Hall Commission Chambers, 2898 Green Street, Marianna.

This meeting will provide participants an opportunity to preview improvements regarding the proposed resurfacing project. Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. There will be no formal presentation. Representatives from FDOT will be available to answer questions and explain the proposed project.

Currently, FDOT plans to resurface the existing travel lanes. Additional improvements include minor drainage modifications, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements and replacing traffic signal loops affected by construction. Curb ramps and deficient sidewalk will be reconstructed as needed to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
