PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) -- A diver has died after being pulled from the waters off the shore of Panama City.
Coast Guard officials said two divers went into the water Saturday and had an issue. One diver came up unresponsive and the other suffered headaches, dizziness and nausea from coming up too fast. Officials did not elaborate on the problem.
Coast Guard officials met the divers' boat and performed CPR on the 43-year-old victim. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officials are investigating the incident and looking at whether the dive equipment was functioning properly.
The victim has not been identified. Several other people were on the boat with the victim. Most were residents of Louisiana.
