PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a man breaking into a Pensacola self-storage business was killed by deputies.
Authorities say 49-year-old Paul Thayer was trying to enter the business Sunday night when he was confronted by two deputies.
Witnesses say Thayer pulled a gun and fired at the deputies. The deputies returned fire, killing Thayer.
Reports say that the shooting remains under investigation.
