TAMPA, FL - U.S. Senator Bill Nelson was briefed Tuesday on the investigation into unmarked graves at the Dozier School for Boys.

University of South Florida researchers are using DNA, skeletal analysis and digital x-rays to identify remains excavated from the school.

Researchers say it will take months to ID the 55 bodies exhumed from the former reform school.

They also unveiled the first facial composites of one set of remains.

Senator Nelson believes this is just the beginning.

"I think eventually they're gonna find another cemetery, because back then they did not bury the two races together, and so [there's] no telling what stories are going to unfold," he said.

Former students accuse school employees and guards of physical and sexual abuse. However, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement says an investigation did not turn up any evidence to substantiate those claims.
