The Walton County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce that Captain Audie Rowell has completed a one week course of study from the Southern Police Institute Chief Executive Leadership in Louisville, KY.
The course covered topics ranging from Legal Issues in Law Enforcement, Importance of Conducting Effective Internal Investigations, Performance Evaluations - Why They're Important, Leadership in the 21st Century, Managing Organizational Change, Dealing With Generational Issues, Mitigating Disasters, Effective Leadership Tools - Situational Leadership, Police Effectiveness: Community, Innovation and Technology, Budgetary Techniques and Marketing Your Department. Participants in the course were exposed to key elements necessary to be successful and the course exercises were interactive to draw upon the experience and expertise of the participants and instructors.
“Attending this training course is a testament of Sheriff Atkinson’s commitment to providing advanced education for agency members,” said Captain Rowell. “This course is a benefit to executive-level law enforcement officers and is designed to facilitate and encourage a positive, developmental, forward thinking role in leading our respective agencies.”
Captain Rowell graduated from 62nd class of the Southern Police Institute Command Officers Development Course in 2011.
