Birthday Bash for Hundreds Homeless in Fla.

MIAMI (AP) -- A South Florida organization is throwing a birthday bash for more than 900 homeless and needy guests.

Miami Rescue Mission's parties will include decorations, birthday cards, cupcakes and live music.

The organization will host several parties around Miami and Broward counties on Wednesday.

A choir group comprising former homeless residents from the mission will also sing.

Director of Development Marilyn Brummitt says this is just another way to show the homeless that they are not forgotten and they can get help off the streets.
