WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House says Vice President Joe Biden will deliver commencement addresses at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in New York and high schools in Florida and Virginia this spring.
Biden will speak to cadets at West Point on May 26, followed by addresses to graduating classes at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Fla., on June 4, and Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach, Va., on June 14. Both Florida and Virginia are considered important states to President Barack Obama's re-election prospects.
Obama is scheduled to speak at Barnard College in New York on May 14. The White House has yet to release his full list of commencement addresses for 2012, which traditionally includes a commencement address to one of the nation's service academies.
