MIAMI (AP) -- A back to school health fair in Miami will offer free immunizations for children.
Jackson North Medical Center is hosting the event Saturday.
The Miami-Dade County Health Department will be administering the immunizations to children whose parents bring their immunization record.
There will also be free fingerprinting for children, certified technicians performing free car seat safety checks and representatives from poison control distributing information.
Hospital officials say adults can also receive free mammograms, glucose tests, cholesterol tests, blood pressure checks and other screenings. Medical staff will be giving educational seminars about weight loss surgery and breast health.
The event is free and open to the public. There will also be cooking demonstrations on healthy meal ideas.
