TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Florida authorities say they are searching for a Tampa man who took his 7-week old son and threatened to harm the child and any police who tried to arrest him.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert on Saturday for the missing infant, Jaelin Levison, and his father, 27-year-old Reginald Levison.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that Levison left after assaulting the child's mother in Tampa and taking her cell phone and her car.
Levison also said he would not go back to prison, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
An FDLE news release says they may be traveling in a 2007, red Chrysler Sebring with Florida tag number AENC63.
Officials asked anyone with information to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
