Smoke from a massive brush fire in Pasco County, Florida could be seen from miles around, as resident worried about their property this weekend.

From the street, witnesses say the smoke rose high above the tree line as they were forced to evacuate their homes.

Emergency crews say about six families were moved Friday night as a precaution, but the fire has since been brought under control.

Nearly 80 firefighters from Pasco County and The Division of Forestry worked to squash the flames.

Firefighters say about 125-acres burned in the brush fire.

Fire crews remain on the scene Saturday making sure there are no flare-ups burn near any of the homes.
