2 killed in crash of small plane at Florida airport

LANTANA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two people are dead after a single-engine plane crashed into another unoccupied aircraft on the ground at a Palm Beach County airport.

Fire-Rescue spokesman Don Delucia says the crash happened Wednesday morning at the Lantana Airport. He says it appears the plane lost power and made an emergency landing when it struck the parked plane, causing it to spin around and land underneath a storage trailer.

No one on the ground was injured.

Witness Brad Colson told WPBF-TV that he saw the plane "coming in way too fast."
