MIAMI (AP) - Miami-Dade County police have captured a man
suspected of at least three sexual assaults from the early 1990s.
Authorities say 42-year-old William Angel Rivera was taken into
custody Tuesday night after detectives matched his DNA with that
collected from the sex crimes.
At the time of the attacks residents in the Miami suburb knew
him as the Kendall Rapist. Police believe he may be responsible for
more than a dozen other sexual attacks.
His wife, Niurca Perez, told WFOR-TV he was a loving father and
Rivera is charged with three rapes and an attempted murder and
being held without bond.
