Grand jury indicts Panhandle sheriff

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - The jury returned its indictment against the Panhandle sheriff on Thursday.

Gov. Charlie Crist suspended Morris in February, after federal
authorities arrested the sheriff in Nevada on a Las Vegas gambling trip.

Prosecutors allege Morris and his former office manager, Teresa Adams, created fictitious bonuses for sheriff's department employees then pocketed some of the money.
