Man tried to sell stolen tools to employee of business he burglarized

The Panama City Police Department has arrested and charged 32-year-old Benjamin Gabriel Bland with Burglary of an unoccupied structure and Dealing in Stolen Property.

On Wednesday Bland entered a structure on the Buddy Gandy Seafood property and stole several power tools.

After committing the burglary Bland attempted to sell the tools to a male at a nearby gas station, unaware to Bland the man he was attempting to sell the tools to was an employee of Buddy Gandy Seafood and recognized the stolen tools.

The Panama City Police Department was notified and Bland was apprehended at the scene.
