Criminal Investigators with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a suspect that jumped a woman as she left her place of employment on April 11, at about 6 p.m.

The woman works at Fast Payday Loans at 531 South Tyndall Parkway.

The victim had just entered her car when a black male approached her and fired a gun at her, shattering the driver’s side window. The bullet lodged in the seat beside her.

The victim fled her car leaving her purse behind. The suspect took her purse. Investigators believe the suspect must have thought the woman was on her way to make the deposit for that day and intended to steal the money. On that particular day another employee had already made the deposit.

The suspect is described as:

- Black male
- About 6 feet tall, 140 pounds
-Last seen wearing baggy dark pants and a long sleeved dark shirt.
-His face was covered with dark colored fabric during the incident.

The suspect left the scene in a dark colored four door sedan.

Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call Investigator Chris Shuman at 747-4700 at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers at 785-TIPS. Crime Stoppers offers up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and callers remain anonymous
