DELAND, Fla. (AP) - Agents say they have arrested 15 people
after raiding 12 marijuana grow houses in Volusia County.
Sheriff's officials say that authorities seized about 800 marijuana plants, 60 pounds of cultivated marijuana and some firearms in Thursday's raids. In total, investigators believe that about $5 million worth of marijuana was confiscated.
South Florida authorities tipped off agencies in Volusia County
about the grow houses, saying that the marijuana traffickers who
were based there had migrated up to central Florida.
The names of the suspects weren't immediately released.
