DADE CITY, Fla. (AP) - Seventeen cars and two locomotives on a
77-car train have derailed near Tampa.

The accident happened Tuesday morning after the train hit a
chemical company truck on its tracks in Pasco County.

Troopers say the driver of the truck failed to stop and yield
the right of way to the train.

The truck's driver is hospitalized in serious condition. The train's two engineers had minor injuries.

Both the truck and the train's cars were empty.

CSX expects clean-up and repairs to the track to take 24 hours.
