Police search for boy who ran away from home

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Fort Lauderdale police are looking for an 11-year-old boy they say ran away from home.

A Fort Lauderdale Police Department press release urged the public Tuesday to help find Lewis Frederick.

Police said the boy ran away Monday evening after arguing with his older brother. Frederick was not wearing shoes or a shirt but was wearing red shorts.

Police have already searched the area around his home and contacted his friends, family and neighbors. They also have checked hospitals and shelters.

Lewis is described as 4 feet tall, 80 pounds, brown eyes and short brown hair.
