A traffic fatality last September has led to DUI-Manslaughter charges being filed last Friday in the death case.
The Florida Highway Patrol charged 33-year-old Timothy C. Berg of Vernon with the death of 29-year-old Jeremy C. Berg, also of Vernon in a single car crash on Washington County Highway 284 just west of State Road 79.
Troopers say the crash occurred at 4:00 AM on the Morning of September 14, 2008.
Timothy Berg was driving west on Highway 284 when he failed to negotiate a car, went into a ditch, hit a culvert and driveway embankment and became airborne.
A passenger in the car, Jeremy Berg died at the scene. Timothy Berg was life-flighted to a Pensacola Hospital.
Friday he was jailed in Chipley on charges of DUI Manslaughter and driving while license suspended or revoked causing death.
