Authorities say a 49-year-old Orlando woman was struck and killed by a train while trying to cross the tracks.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the woman, who has not been named, walked underneath the arms at a railroad crossing Thursday night and began to walk over the tracks. She almost made it to the other side, but the front left corner of the train hit the woman. The train stopped a short distance down the track.
Reports show none of the 105 passengers on the Amtrak train suffered injury.
